I was driving west on Interstate 70 in Ohio near the border of Indiana when I picked up my phone and pointed it at the windshield to get a picture of the trucks rolling along to the evening in the east. This is a live image saved in loop mode then exported from Gimp as an animated gif file. I like how the looping technique gives the trucks a ghosting effect as they drive off the edge of the scene just in time to be re-animated at the center of the image and it just keeps going just like when you’re out there on the interstate. They just keep going. I’m grateful for that. I keep saying that someone will put a charge to metal or glass ‘prints’ so that our walls will come alive with moving images. In the meantime, we can enjoy scenes like this from our phones or whatnot.
