The blues want to intimidate the starling to get off of their feeder. Blues are meat eaters and year-round residents here at the condo. Starlings seem to eat everything, and they are also year-rounders. Blues travel in pairs whereas starlings are normally in large groups. Blues are fairly small birds but they do have big attitudes. They’ll stand their ground as they are doing here to make the starling go away. What blues really dislike are squirrels. They dive and yell at squirrels chasing the squirrel out of a tree or across the ground. Love me some nature.
