One nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
The last stance of the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
Originally written in 1892, the pledge was changed, edited 4 to 5 times since then. The last change taking place in 1954 when the words ‘under God’ were added.
I like the last 7 words. ‘Indivisible, with liberty and justice for all’. I do not agree with the loud voices proclaiming that we are a country divided. Always the loud voices, yelling even, that we are divided. Angry, loud, yelling, fist pounding, head shaking, book holding on youtube, radio, tv, yelling at me that they are right, and I am wrong.
I’ve heard the angry yelling voices for 56 years. Back then they said that if I’m not mad as hell it is because I’m not paying attention. They’re louder now, even angrier. Are they pissed because I’m still not paying attention?
I pay attention to these 7 words. Indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
Go with love in your heart.
