Does Halloween come early this year? This picture of the front of the condo decorated for Halloween was taken ten years ago and I like it so thought I’d give it a fresh pass through the editor and post it up here today. I like my scenes to be simple. Contain no more than three elements and be obvious about what you’re looking at. This image meets those criteria with the lawn, the decorated condo and the tree foliage being the three parts of the image and the October themed look to the scene. I also like how the floating ghost is in shadow with a bright patch of sunlight directly underneath. These contrasting elements make the image interesting to look at. It’s peak summer today with the air thick with smoke from fires up north and west but soon it will be autumn with its crisp air and golden leaves and who knows, maybe the condo will get decorated up for Halloween time will tell.
